Sidonia E. Tomczak, 91, of Lane City, Texas, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in Hillje, Texas. Sidonia was born on November 18, 1924, to Anton and Christine Kucera Sliva in Wallis, Texas. She married her sweetheart Raymond Tomczak on June 10, 1948. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. While she worked for many years as a secretary at the Pom Pom Factory in Lane City, her most cherished occupation was that of a wife and mother. She loved to travel, especially visits to family in Georgia, Las Vegas, and the mountains of Colorado. She was always up for any kind of game, often organizing cards and dominos with family. Be it Canasta, 42, poker, Moon or Rummy, she loved to play. Sidonia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Elizabeth Valenta, Adele Garner and Marie Manofsky; and brothers Sylvester Silva and Tony Silva. She was survived by her husband Raymond Tomczak; daughter Sandra Jane Noble and husband Michael of Conroe; sister Mimi McCart; brother Robert (Bobby) Sliva; grandchildren Nicholas Howard Noble and wife Katie and Nicole Christine McGee and husband Jason; great-grandchildren Leland Michael Noble and Adler William Noble; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., a Rosary will be recited at 10:30, and Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Father Bob Knippenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be Mark Sliva, Nicholas Noble, Jason McGee, Guy Shelton, Chris Voulgaris and Marc Aaronson. Honorary Pallbearers are Lawrence Valenta, Clay Garner Jr. and Dale Garner.
