Baldemar Sepulveda Sr. Baldemar Sepulveda Sr., 75, of Rosenberg, TX, died May 21, 2016, in Sugar Land, TX. Baldemar was born on June 17, 1940, to Julio and Mary Lopez Sepulveda in New Gulf, TX. Baldemar graduated from Boling High School Class of 1958 before attending Wharton County Junior College. He then enlisted in the Army. He made a career of the Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class in 1983. He received many honors during his tenure in the military, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, a bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal (w/Bronze, 5 Loops) National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 3), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (w/1 Silver and 5 Bronze Service Stars), and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry (with Palm). He was survived by his daughter Maria Garcia and her husband Jerome of Rosenberg, TX; sons Baldemar Sepulveda Jr. and his wife Janeen of Loveland, CO and Michael Sepulveda of Rosenberg, TX; grandchildren Jonathan, Jordyn, Nicholas, Jerome Jr., Brittany, Brianna, Ryan, Tyler, Andru, Kaitlyn, Kiana; and great-grandchildren Aubree, Gabby, Natalie, Sadie, Kealie. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7, at Wharton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m., at Wharton Funeral Home, with Deacon David Valdez officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Bart, Michael, Jerome Sr., Jonathan, Jerome Jr., and Nicolas.
