Luz Maria Lopez

Luz Maria Lopez, 56, of Hungerford, died June 6, 2016, at her home in Hungerford, TX. Luz was born on November 20, 1959, to Juan Antonio Ramos and Maria del Carmen Antimo, in Union de San Antonio, Jalisco, Mexico. Luz was raised in Mexico, attending college there and marrying her late husband, Leandro Lopez, before moving to Hungerford in 1989. She loved to spend time with her family. She also loved to feed her family wonderful home cooked meals such as her famous chicken and rice and legendary homemade tortillas. She was preceded in death by her father and husband. She was survived by her mother; daughter Karina Lopez; sons Marlon Lopez and Eduardo Lopez; sisters Concha Ramos and Bertha Ramos; and several brothers. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. also at St. Johns Catholic Church, with Father Charles Dwomoh officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery.
