Paulita "Polly" Villagomez

Paulita “Polly” Villagomez, 59, of Wharton, passed away on June 7, 2016, in a Sugar Land hospital following a sudden illness. Polly was born on February 26, 1957 in East Bernard, TX to the late Emiterio and Josephine Delgado Sosa. Polly attended schools in Eagle Lake and Sealy and graduated from a Houston area high school. She married Joel G Villagomez on April 26, 1983. Polly enjoyed being a people person and working in sales at Kmart and later Wal-Mart was just the ticket. She loved being out doors, whether being at the ranch, on a boat or just hanging out with her children and grandchildren. Most Sundays in the fall were spent following the Dallas Cowboys on television, eating popcorn and drinking cokes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rosie Handschin and brothers, John and Reno Sosa. Polly is survived by her husband, Joel Villagomez of Hungerford, daughters, Susan Villagomez of Richmond, Sarah Palmer and husband, Phillip of Mansfield, LA, Stephanie Lemoine and husband, Ron of St Rose, LA, and Kristina Williams and husband, Reynaud of Hungerford, sisters, Josie Aguilar of Wharton and Annie Solis of Sealy, brothers, Emmitt Sosa of Sealy and Robert Sosa of Wharton, grandchildren, Alexxus, Samantha, Aaron, Riley, Zane, Kinley, Thor, Claire, Reynaud, Jr., Reynah and Reygan and great grandchild, Azariah. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Sosa, Steve Sosa, Phillip Palmer, Ron Lemoine, Reynaud Williams and Aaron Rodriguez . Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, June 11, 2016 at Wharton Funeral Home from 6 till 9 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 12th at 2 pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Deacon David Valdez officiating.
