Chris Alameda, 42, of Houston, TX, died June 22, 2016 in Houston, TX. Chris was born on July 14, 1973, to Secundino and Soila Alameda, in El Campo, TX. Chris graduated from El Campo High School class of 1991. He went on to attend Southwest Texas State University. He worked as a Manager at Pappadeaux restaurant in Houston. Chris loved sports of all types, especially playing for The Houston Fireballs Softball Team, watching the Texas Longhorns and the El Campo Ricebirds. He loved dancing and Country Western music. He also enjoyed working with several charities. He was preceded in death by his father. He was survived by his mother; sons Will and Aron Alameda of San Antonio; sisters Melanie Soloman & her husband Mike and Melissa Schimcek; and brothers Brian Alameda & his wife Laura and Stephen Alameda; and the mother of his children, Sandra Ramirez. There will be a visitation on Monday from 5-9 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. also at Wharton Funeral Home, with Pastor Ramiro Jaime of Bethel Baptist church of El Campo. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be Dale Mitchell, T.J. Henne, Roman Martinez, Daniel Subea, James Mann and Angel Moreno. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Houston Fireballs Softball Team and Marty Hernandez Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
