Eva Rangel Garza, age 68, of Boling, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, in a Sugarland hospital following a short illness. She was born on October 15, 1947 in Newgulf, Texas, she is the daughter of the late Samuel and Senaida Ramirez Rangel. Eva was raised in the Boling/ Newgulf area and graduated from Boling High School in 1965. She moved to Houston and worked for Balfour where she enjoyed making class rings. Eva married George R. Garza on August 13, 1977 in Boling. George preceded her in death on May 15, 2003. Eva enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends and neighbors, watching movies and being a part of the Lakewood Church family in Houston. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed being around friends and family. In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther R. Wilson and Debra Rangel. Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11 am at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Pastor Ismael Rangel and Jose Orrellana officiating. Eva is survived by her daughters, Amy Rangel, and Amanda Garza Harrison and husband, Randy all of Boling and sons, Adam Garza and wife, Monica of Wharton and Andrew Garza and wife, Grace of Sugar Land and her brothers, Sam Rangel Jr. and Theodore Rangel both of Boling.
