Leon Hutchins

Leon Preston Hutchins, age 56, of Wharton, passed away at his home on Monday, September 26, 2016 in Wharton, TX following a lengthy illness. He was born on February 29, 1960, in Houston, TX, a son of Edward Marion Hutchins and Alma Truie Knight Hutchins. Leon made his home in the Wharton area, after attending school in Aldine, TX. He dedicated his life to working at his mechanic shop, Muffler King. He enjoyed reading, car races, being a lifetime NASCAR fan, watching action movies and he loved animals. There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 4th at 2:00 pm at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel in Wharton, TX. There will be a private burial. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ann Lacy and brother Orva Lee Hutchins. Survivors include his sister, Faye and husband, Nathan Hudson of Mansfield; brother, Alvin Hutchins and wife, Joan of Crosby; 6 nephews and 4 nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
