Otelia “Tillie” Kovar Mulle, 96, of East Bernard died Saturday, October 15, 2016, in Rosenberg, TX. Tillie was born on May 13, 1920, to Paul and Julia Tkac Kovar near Ganado, TX. She became a Certified Welder helping with the war effort during World War II. She also worked for NABISCO prior to her marriage. Then met her husband Frank Mulle at Cook’s Hodown. After they were married on October 27, 1951, she became a farmer’s wife. Tillie always led a full life. She enjoyed many pass times such as fishing, polka dancing, Bingo and working the soup line at the church. She is remembered for her green thumb, especially her geraniums. She loved her cats, and always loved to go outside and gaze at the moon. She enjoyed 75 years of faithful service and membership in the KJZT. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Mary Ann Starns and Ula Mae Tadlock; and brothers Emil Kovar and Bennie Kovar. She is survived by her son Joe Mulle and wife Sheila; brother-in-laws Gus Mulè and wife Pat and Vince Mulle and wife Mary; twin sister Alice Harriman; grandchildren Nathan Mulle and wife Sarah, Stephen Mulle ad wife Dana and Thomas Mulle and wife Brandi; step-grandchildren Kaylan Lennick and husband Jeff and Nathan Korenek; and great-grandchildren Kiersten, Felecity, Autumn, Jameson and Jordan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, starting at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., also at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Don Rupert officiating. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at Morton Cemetery in Richmond. Serving as Pallbearers will be Nathan Mulle, Stephen Mulle, Thomas Mulle, Eugene Sykora, Michael Chanek and Chris Harriman. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
