Angelina Torres, 64, of Garland, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday morning, October 22, 2016, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born September 8, 1952, in Hondo, Texas to parents Marcelino and Clemencia Gonzales Hernandez. Angelina was raised in Hondo and attended school in Vero Beach. She worked as an insurance agent for Aflac for many years. Angelina enjoyed returning to Hondo and visited often. She married King Torres on February 14, 2013 in Rockport, Texas. Together they enjoyed traveling, being at the beach looking for seashells and turtles, being around friends and family and loving on their grandkids. Her mother, Clemencia Hernandez preceded her in death. Two days of visitation are planned, Tuesday, October 25 starting at 1p.m. and Wednesday, October 26 starting at 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. all at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Rev. Bob Knippenberg officiating. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers are Ken Torres, King Torres, Jr., Jonathan Hogan, Jason Wright, Anthony Warren, Raudel Garza and Edward Galleno. Angelina is survived by her husband, King Torres, father, Marcelino Hernandez of Rockport, daughters, Monica Pacheco of Austin, Marcela Wright and husband Jason of Euless, Melissa Hogan and husband, Jonathan of Austin, Michele L Warren and husband Anthony of Dickenson, Samantha K Hulett and husband, Josh of Deer Park, Angelica F. Torres and husband, Edward Galleno of Alvin, Mandy Torres of Webster, sons, King Torres Jr., of Webster and Ken A Torres of Clear Lake, sisters, Graciella Rodriguez of College Station and Michel Archambalt of Knightdale, N.C., grandchildren, Cynthia Pacheco, Jacob Wright, Katelyn Wright, Emma Hogan, Ethan Hogan, Jennica Hulett, Alycia Warren, Anthony Mahlmann, Ken A Torres, Jr., and Alexis Galleno.
