Alejandro Saldierna

Alejandro Saldierna, 59, of Rosenberg, and formerly of Las Tuzas, Alaquines, San Luis Potosi, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Alejandro was born on August11, 1957 in Las Tuzas, Mexico to Rafael Saldierna and Sotera Hernandez de Saldierna. Alejandro was raised in Mexico area and attended schools there. He married Abelina Hernandez. He later came to Texas to work as a Farmer’s helper. Alejandro is survived by his wife, Abelina Hernandez Saldierna of Las Tuzas Mexico; daughters, Reyna Saldierna and Erica Saldierna of Mexico; grandchildren Alejandro Carreon Saldierna, Johnny Carreon Saldierna, Arturo Velasques Saldierna and Adolfo Velasques Saldierna; sisters Eva Saldierna of Mexico, Virginia Saldierna of East Bernard, Ignacia Saldierna of Mexico, Matilde Saldierna of Rosharon and Rosa Saldierna of Mexico; brothers, Fidencio Saldierna of Mexico, Alberto Saldierna of Austin, Rojelio Saldierna of East Bernard, Marcelino Saldierna of Needville, Ricardo Saldierna of Austin, Rafael Saldierna of Mexico, and Amparo Saldierna of Georgia. He also has a large number of nieces and nephews that loved him, and many other family members. Visitation was held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. till 9 pm, at Wharton Funeral Home, with a Rosary recited at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5, at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 507 South East Ave, Wharton Texas 77488 with Father Bob Knippenberg officiating. Followed by continued visitation at Wharton Funeral Home until 5 p.m. Serving as pallbearers were his son in law Juan Carreon and nephews Adolfo Hernandez, Roman Hernandez, Rojelio Saldierna Jr., Miguel Castillo and Ramiro Saldierna. The Rite of Committal and burial will be held at a later date in Las Tuzas, Mexico. Donations are welcome to help the wife and daughters. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home, in cooperation with Nohemi Hernandez. Condolences may be left at www.whartonfuneralhome.com.
