Maxine Hutchison Price

Opal Maxine Hutchinson Price Maxine Price, 91, of Boling, Texas passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at El Campo Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Maxine was born on February 16, 1925 in Nacogdoches County, Texas a daughter of the late Walter and Effie Coats Hutchinson. Maxine graduated from Central Heights High School in Nacogdoches, Texas. She married the love of her life, Robert Gerald Price in Houston, Texas in 1949. He passed away as the result of an automobile accident on July 7, 1971. Maxine was a wonderful mother and housewife during the years her boys were at home. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. After her boys left home Maxine worked for over 20 years in the dietary department of Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton before retiring in her early 70’s. Maxine was a faithful member of The First United Methodist Church of Boling for over 50 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen, Leon, and Raymond Hutchinson and her sister, Mildred. She was survived by her sons; John Price and fiancée, Ann Bracher-Vaughan of Kerrville and William Price of Boling, grandson, John Robert Price, Jr and wife, Andrea of Floresville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 after 10 am with funeral services beginning at 11 am at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
