Angela Sepeda, 86, of Wharton, Texas died Friday, November 25, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Richmond, Texas. Angela was born on August 2, 1930, in Matagorda, Texas, to Manuel Torres and Jacinta Montelongo Torres. She graduated from Boling High School, Class of 1947, and later went on to attend Wharton County Junior College. She married Lupe Sepeda on January 15, 1950. Following her retirement in 1994, she enjoyed her opportunity to volunteer with several local organizations such as the local hospital, library, Wharton County Junior College, and as an Election Poll Watcher. She also cherished her time with her six children and other family. She was preceded by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. She was survived by her husband; daughters Mary Anne Hand and husband Leo and Cynthia Sepeda; sons Carlos Sepeda and wife Nan, Louis Sepeda and wife Karen, Michael Sepeda and wife Katy and Damian Sepeda and wife Christy; three sisters; three brothers; grandchildren Darrell, Holly, Mike, Carlos Jr., Kim, Mark, Summer, Carissa, Kristin, Kimber, Kylie, Christopher, Victoria and Jonathan; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, from 3 - 7 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home with a Vigil at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Bob Knippenberg officiating.
