Charles Ray Vincek, 77, of Beasley, Texas passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016. Charles Ray was born on June 3, 1939 to the late Charlie and Tillie Vincek. Charles Ray grew up in Beasley, Texas. He married Lois Self Vincek on October 21, 1961. They lived in Beasley together for 55 years. Charles Ray loved his family, hunting, fishing, traveling and taking care of his cattle. He was an outdoorsman and never went far without his beloved German Shephard, Niki. Early in life, one of his greatest passions was guiding duck and goose hunts. He shared his love of hunting and outdoors with all of his children and grandchildren. Charles Ray and Lois bought Vincek’s Smokehouse in 1985. Charles Ray’s love for family, good food, and good service are the foundation of the family’s long-standing business. In addition to his parents, Charles Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Shula and Lois’ parents, Walter & Edna Self. Charles Ray is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lois Vincek; his children and their spouses, James and Cindy Vincek, Gary and Jamie Vincek, and Cheryl and Ricky Failla, all of East Bernard; his brother James Vincek of Orinda, CA; and eight grandchildren, Libby Vincek, Drew Vincek, Jacob Vincek, Joshua Vincek, Mary Failla, John Cameron Failla, Faith Vincek, and Jackson Vincek. Pallbearers are Jimmy Tiemann, Calvin Hillmann, Roland Adamson, Dub Sabrsula, Joe Dozier and Larry Chaney. Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren; employees of Vincek’s Smokehouse; caregivers Clarice Spears, Cassie Robinson, Shirley Evans, Claddie O’Neal, and Wanda Dickerson. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the caretakers and employees at the SPJST Senior Living Home in Needville. Visitation will Sunday, December 18 from 5-7 pm, followed by the Rosary at 7 pm at St. Wencelaus Catholic Church in Beasley. Funeral services will be Monday, December 19 at 10 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may made to Houston Hospice-El Campo, Fulshear Cemetery Association, or St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
