Nellie Ann Konvicka Macek

Nellie Ann Konvicka Macek, 71, of Wharton, died December 15, 2016 in Wharton. Nellie was born on August 24, 1945, in El Campo to the late Elo and Nellie Mae Miller Konvicka, Sr. Nellie’s parents died when she was young and she was raised in the El Campo area. She married the late Robert Macek, Sr., on April 4, 1964, and was his loving wife until his passing on March 17, 2014. In her spare time, she loved to read novels and biographies, tend to her patio garden, playing bingo and most importantly spend time with her grandchildren. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters Lottie Markham and Rosie Lobpries; and brothers Elo Konvicka Jr. and James Konvicka. Nellie is survived by her daughter Vickie Macek & Bobby Baker; son Robert Macek Jr. & Stephanie Pahmiyer; sister Betty Vernon; brother Bobby Konvicka; and grandchildren Dakoda Leopold, Ashly Macek, Jamie Macek and Todd Macek A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton at 2:00 p.m. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
