Phyllis Hempel

Phyllis Marie Hempel Phyllis M. Hempel, 76, of Boling, passed away January 17, 2017, in a Sugar Land hospital. Phyllis was born on May 21, 1940, in Newgulf, to the late William and Vivian Prell Brewton. Phyllis was raised in Boling and graduated from Boling High School, class of 1958. Phyllis worked as a secretary for Boling ISD Administration for many years before joining the tax team at H&R Block. She enjoyed watching soap operas old movies, playing solitaire, listening to Elvis Presley sing her favorite songs, and she especially loved begin around her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, W. J. Bullock, son, Jeffery Bullock and husband, Homer Hempel. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Myndi Bullock and husband, Mike Moncebias of Boling, and Diana Bullock of Ventura, CA, sister, Joyce Bear and husband, James of Boling, and grandchildren, Justelle Adamson, Madison Wycoff, Morgan Wycoff and Christopher Hensley and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12 noon at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
