Howard Mahon

Howard Wayne Mahon Howard Wayne Mahon, 73, of Wharton, Passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, at his residence in Wharton. He was born on January 1, 1944 to the late Leonard and Chilili Thomas Mahon in Leslie, Arkansas. Howard graduated from Carlile High School and joined the United States Army. In April 1967, He earned his Honorable Discharge. Howard married Patsy Tumbleson on April 24, 1965. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2016. Though they lived in the Wharton area for 30 years, home was always Arkansas. Howard would often be found outside in the workshop he built, building a new project or improving on one already made. He also loved to fish, spending many hours with his wife, down at the bay. Howard was survived by his son Lee Dale Mahon and his wife Rhonda, and siblings, Leann, Carolyn Sue, Emma, and Roy Mahon, step grandchildren, Andrew Rothbauer and Rachael Hale along with great grandchild, Alexis Rothbauer.
