Donald Krenek, 67, of Sugar Land, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in a Sugar Land hospital following a sudden illness. Donald was born on August 12, 1949 in Wharton, TX to the late Joe A. Krenek and Betty S Janik Krenek, Jr. Donald loved the outdoors, fishing and feeding his squirrels. He was a big sports fan. Don was always ready to help anyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Lonnie Krenek. Donald is survived by his sister, Bonnie Kocian and husband, James of Damon, brother, Ronald Krenek and wife, Susan of Hungerford, nephew Jason Kocian and wife, Katie of Needville, nieces, Betty Jo Krenek of Kigali, Rwanda, Africa and Holly Barker and husband, Matt of Austin, and many dear friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 9 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church with a Holy Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 29th at 10 a.m. at St John Catholic Church in Hungerford with Rev. Charles Dwomoh officiating. The Rite of Christian Burial and committal will follow in St John Cemetery in Hungerford. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Anastos, Ove Nielsen, Allen Rachunek, Jimmy Rieger, Bobby Hubenak, Michael Hubenak and Doyle Varner.
