Louis Soliz

Louis Soliz, 50, of Houston, died April 1, 2017, in Houston. Louis was born on October 10, 1966, in Crockett TX, to Edward and Julia Munoz Soliz, Sr. Louis was a forklift driver prior to his disability. He married the late Olivia Acosta Soliz in 1989 and was her loving husband until her death in December 2012. He remained close to his step-daughter Monica, loving her as a daughter. He loved to travel, enjoy the beach and water, and spending time with his grandkids, especially their baseball games. Louis is survived by is daughter Monica Avila and her husband Jaime of Houston; brothers Michael Soliz, Steve Soliz and Edward Soliz Jr. and wife Angelique; grandchildren Jaime Avila Jr., Michael Avila and Karissa Avila; and nieces and nephews Stephanie Soliz, Steve Soliz Jr., Sabrina Soliz, Sierra Soliz, Jeremy Soliz and Andrew Soliz. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7, at Wharton Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
