Carol Ann Zepeda, 54, of Boling, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on May 21, 2017. Carol was born on March 15, 1963, in Wharton, to Ervin Kutach and Virginia White Kutach. Carol was a lifelong resident of Boling and graduated from Boling High School in 1981. After having been introduced by friends, Carol married Roy Zepeda in Wharton on March 12, 1982. Her husband says they were true partners in life and together they raised 3 children. Carol started off her career as a day care teacher at Children’s Day out and eventually went to work for Newgulf Elementary School. She was the first one to greet our children as they arrived at school with a big smile on her face, happy to see them as the children were to see her! Carol loved her Knick knacks. She enjoyed crafts, making bouquets, hair pins and football mums and signs. Carol loved her community and participated in many events, she was always willing to donate her famous chocolate chip cookies as an auction item. She is preceded in death by her father, Ervin Kutach. Carol is survived by her husband, Roy Zepeda of 35 years; daughters, Krystal Zepeda and boyfriend, James Laney of Lane City, Kathleen Crayton and husband, Kevin of League City; son, Zachary Zepeda and girlfriend, Mikayla Hildebrand of El Campo; mom, Virginia Kutach of Iago; brothers, Michael Kutach of Rosenberg, Brian Kutach and wife, Patty of Arkansas, and Steven Kutach and wife, Christie of Richmond; her granddaughters, Penelope Crayton and Kendra Garza; and numerous friends and family. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 starting at 5 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m at Wharton Funeral Home.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Mission Catholic Church in Boling with Father Bob Knippenberg. Rite of Committal and burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers are Kenny Pustejovsky, Keith Ermis, David Delgado, Albert Delgado, Kevin Maly, Darrel Kutach. Honorary pallbearers are all of her “kids” from Boling ISD.
