Margie Lee Frankum Watson, 94, of Wharton, died June 23, 2017, in Wharton. Margie was born on August 7, 1922, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Charlie and Pollie Duncan Frankum. She and her family moved to the Wharton area when she was a small child. She married the late Emmitt Earl Watson and together they raised five children. She loved to go for rides, especially in the Hill Country and fishing and crabbing in Matagorda or Palacios. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Polly Ahr; son Earl Watson; sisters Merle Reynolds and Marie Watson; and brothers Verlin Frankum, Theo Frankum, Bruce Frankum, Gene Frankum, Ray Frankum, D.A. Frankum, Ben Frankum, Douglas Frankum and Biddy Frankum. She is survived by daughter Donna Ullman & husband Clayton; sons Robert Watson & Helen and Douglas Watson & Sandra; daughter in law Donna Watson; son in law Frank Ahr; grandchildren Greg Watson, Allen Watson, Alisa Pearson, Robert Watson Jr., Taylor Watson, Amanda Watson, Rebecca Watson, Kevin Hamby, Staci Paul, Traci LaCaze, Morgan Watson and Camille Watson; great-grandchildren Kennedee LaCaze, Kadence LaCaze, Clint LaCaze, Samantha LaCaze, Zoey Pearson, Samantha Watson, Garrett Watson, Rayleigh Watson and Zach Watson Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2017, from 1-3 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Mickey Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers are Mark Wakefield, Coby Frankum, Brad Frankum, Jason Barker, Matt Frankum, and Frank Ahr.
