Glenda Lopez Beall

Glenda Lopez Beall, 60, of Boling, died June 29, 2017 in El Campo, Tx. Glenda was born on November 6, 1956, in New Gulf, Tx to Guadalupe and Lucy Moreno Lopez. Glenda graduated from Boling High School Class of 1975. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Texas State University and her Masters of Education from Lamar University. A long-time educator, Mrs. Beall taught for over 36 years beginning at Sealy I.S.D, Boling I.S.D, Rice Consolidated I.S.D- where she was the senior English teacher and finally Bay City High School. Teaching was her passion. She so enjoyed watching her students grow and develop into excellent role models. Her love of God, Family, Friends and students were her greatest motivation and she was never too busy to take time for one. Glenda was a voracious reader, loved playing with her grandkids, cooking for her family and singing. She always saw the good side in everyone she met. She was a proud member of Delta Kappa Gama Teacher’s Society and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Raymond (Coach) Beall Jr., daughters Jamie Beall Britt and husband Heath of Portland, Tx, currently serving her country in Djibouti, Africa and Jodie Ann Beall Gerhardt and Tony of San Diego, Ca; brother Dr. Adriel Lopez and wife, Ernie of Austin, Tx; grandchildren Cody Beall Wright, Caleb Michael Beall Smith, Jacob Anthony Beall Gerhardt and Eli Ryan Beall Gerhardt; also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6th after 5 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7th at Iago Federated Church in Iago, Tx. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
