Monica Lynn Torres Dzierzanowski

Monica Lynn Torres Dzierzanowski, 53, of Palacios Texas, passed away October 24, 2017, at her home. She was born on July 18, 1964 in East Bernard, Tx, the daughter of Carlos A. Torres, Sr. and Aurora Mata (Birdy) Torres. Monica was raised in Wharton area and graduated from Wharton High School and attended 2 years of college at Ranger. Monica worked for the State School prior to becoming disabled. Monica spent hours listening to music and writing poetry. She loved the water and spent a lot of time at the beach. She also loved playing with her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos A. Torres, Sr. and brother Christopher M. Torres. Monica is survived by her daughter, Kristen Nicole Boyd and wife, Stacy of Palacios; son Mathew Harrison French and Fiancé Amber of Bay City; mother, Aurora “Birdy” Mata Torres; brothers, Carlos Torres, Jr and wife, Nancy of San Antonio, Curtis Torres of Wharton and Craig M. Torres of Wharton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Torres, Craig Torres, Curtis Torres, Tony Garcia, Catarino “Wimpy” Mata, Earnest Mata and Albert Mata. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
