In Loving Memory Of Betty Fay Boehnke November 6, 1929 ~ December 13, 2017 Betty Fay Boehnke, 88, of Wharton, Texas passed away with her family by her side in Wharton, Texas. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 6, 1929 to her parents; Jeff Davis and Georgia Lena Ruth (Baker) Crabb. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Wharton Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2017 with Kemper Crabb officiating. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Texas. Betty was a loving wife to Lamar Marvin Boehnke, who precedes her in death. She was a loving mother to her children, and loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Betty was a 3rd Grade Teacher and Principal at Lane City Elementary. She also taught High School at Magnolia High School in her early career. Betty loved to read, raising a garden, and working cross word puzzles. She also loved to travel. Left to cherish Betty’s memory is her daughter Reika Cheronai (Cha) Miller and husband, Mike of Baytown, Texas, her son, Marvin Lamar Boehnke of Lane City, Texas, her brother, Kemper Baker Crabb, her grandchildren; Carly Erin Miller, Rachel Laine Bueno, and Michael Garrett Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jeff Davis and Georgia Lena Ruth (Baker) Crabb, and her husband, Lamar Marvin Boehnke. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Bubba Bock, Alan Fitzgerald, David Lewis, Mike Miller, Garrett Miller, and Bobby Lyons.
