Victoria Lynn Ramirez, 27, of Wharton, passed away peacefully at her home on December 15, 2017. Victoria was born on May 2, 1990, in Wharton, to parents, David Ramirez and Gloria Alcalar Garza. Victoria was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School. She was outgoing and friendly and loved her nieces and nephews. She adored her puppy “Bentley”. She was close to finishing college when she was in an automobile accident, leaving her as a quadriplegic. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Jaylon and Ayden Vega and her grandparents, Guadalupe and Pauline Ramirez and Uncle Yshmael Rodriguez, Jr. Victoria is survived by her mother, Gloria Alcalar Garza and husband, Darryl of Van Vleck; father, David Ramirez of Wharton; sisters, Ashley Ramirez of Houston, and Paula Sanchez of Boling; brother, Simon David Ramirez and April Adams of Rosenberg, grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Simon Alcalar, Sr. of Hungerford; her Uncle Johnny Alcalar and Jeannye of Austin; nieces and nephews Jessica and Bianca Sanchez, Jordan, Jasmine and Simon Jayden Ramirez, Talia and Adrian Garcia, Aryiona Quigley and Raymond Dixson; numerous Aunts and Uncles. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 starting at 6 p.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with a rosary recited by Deacon David Valdez at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Antonio Perez at 10 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as Pallbearers are Sion Sanchez, Johnny Alcalar, Richy Vega, Simon Alcalar III, Simon Alcalar, Jr., and Brother Simon David Ramirez.
