Oralia Garza 11-20-1929 - 12-17-2017 Oralia “Mimi’ Garza, 88, of Boling passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was born on November 20, 1929 in Thomas Town, TX, to the late, Pedro and Maria Cortez Rodriguez. Oralia was raised in the Wharton area and attended school there. She was a homemaker all her life. She moved to the Boling area in the 1990’s to be closer to her family. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and spending time with family. She prayed and read her Bible every day. Oralia was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ray Garza and her sisters, Lillie Mata and Dora Munoz, and her great granddaughter Cambri Grace Garza. Survivors include her sons, Nicolas Garza and wife, Rhea Ann of Wharton and Dale Patrick Garza and wife, Sharon of Grand Lake, LA, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation was held the evening of Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with rosary recited at 7pm. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. A rite of Committal and burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Texas. Funeral Services were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
