In Loving Memory Of Caroline Ramirez Guzman Rojas August 1, 1944 ~ January 11, 2018 Caroline Ramirez Guzman Rojas, 73, of Wharton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 1, 1944, in Needville, Texas to parents; Luis Ramirez, Sr. and Esther Driscoll Ramirez. Caroline was raised in the Burr and Iago area and attended school in Boling. She married Alfredo Rojas on October 16, 1993 in Seattle, Washington. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, traveling with her family and dancing. She was also known as an excellent artist. In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Montalvo, Geneva Garza and Julie Hernandez and brother, Lupe Ramirez. Left to cherish Caroline’s memory are her husband of 23 years, Alfredo Rojas, daughter, Linda Jewel and husband, Daniel of Mesa, AZ, sons, Ricky Guzman Jr., and wife, Gabriela, Alfred Guzman, Sr. and wife, Maria, Martin Anthony Guzman and Christopher Jason Guzman all of Wharton and Joseph David Guzman and wife, Amy of Sugar Land, sisters, Delores Vargas of Van Vleck, Virginia Garcia of Pledger, Connie Hernandez of Richmond, and Josephine Gonzales of East Bernard, brother, Luis Ramirez, Jr. of Bay City, grandchildren, Shannon Jewel Jones, Alex Jewel, Mateo Guzman, Victoria Guzman, Alfred Guzman, Jr., Carlos Guzman, Michael Guzman, Richard Guzman, Ryan Christopher Guzman, Jason Alexander Guzman and Aaliyah Marie Gentry, with one great grandchild due in March. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton with Fr. Bob Knippenberg officiating. The Rite of Committal and Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Guzman, Jr., Alfred Guzman, Sr., Christopher Guzman, Alfred Guzman, Jr., Michael Guzman and Chris Garcia.
