Helen Marie Mican Dusek was born on October 10, 1934 in Hungerford to parents Henry Mican and Christine Duyka Mican. She attended school in Hungerford and graduated from East Bernard High School in 1954. She resided in the Richmond-Rosenberg area. Our mother was kind and humble lady; she never asked much from anyone. She was a homemaker all her life; she dedicated her life to taking care of her children, and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include son, Eugene (Gene) Dusek, and wife Rhonda of Rosenberg, daughters, Sharon Sebesta, and husband, Ronnie of East Bernard, Janice Carlton, and husband Ronnie of Brookshire, and Darlene Wieghat, and husband Rodney of Needville. Grandchildren, Taylor Dusek, and wife, Lu, Matthew Sebesta and wife Carrie, Christopher Sebesta and wife Jessica, Rhett Wieghat and wife Andrea, and Reed Wieghat, and fiancé Madison Minks, Charlie Carlton, and wife, Susan. Great grandchildren, Joshua Sebesta, Brayden and Kylee Carlton, Carsen and Graysen Wieghat. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Mican and wife Gloria and sister-in-law, Chris Riley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Henry Mican, Jr, sister, Janelle Barta, and brother-in-law, Rudy Barta. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at St John Catholic Church in Hungerford with Rev. Charles Dwomoh celebrating the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held beginning at 9:00 am and rosary will be recited at 9:30 prior to the Mass on Monday. Burial will be in St John Catholic Church Cemetery in Hungerford. Pallbearers will be; Taylor Dusek, Christopher Sebesta, Matthew Sebesta, Ronnie Sebesta, Rhett Wieghat, Reed Wieghat, Rodney, Wieghat, Ronnie Carlton. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Jimmy Robertson and nurse Serena Condel at Fort Bend Family Health Center, Richmond Texas for their continued care of our mother; and caretaker Barbara Foster. Also, thanks for the care given by Dr. Metford and the staff at Cambridge Skilled Nursing in Richmond especially her nurses Shaydee Gaona and Robin James.
