Ret. Sergeant E-5 Andrew Jackson Guill, age 81, of Angleton and formerly of Boling passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 14th. Andrew was born to Clyde Carson Guill and Alma Aurora Ashe on November 1, 1942, in Boling, Texas
Andrew was raised in Boling and attend schools in Boling. He served in the United States Army retiring in 1968. He Married Elizabeth Winland on December 8, 1967, in Wharton. She preceded him in death on January 28, 2015. Andrew later worked for the City of Houston for many years. Andrew enjoyed going antique shopping, gardening with an extra passion for his trees and he was a huge history buff. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma McEntire and brother, Edwin Carson Guill.
Andrew is survived by his daughter, Dana Guill; sisters, Sherry Glenn and Clyda Graves; grandchildren, Elizabeth Tackett, Victoria Longoria and Asheley Longoria, grandchildren, KC Handsaker, Andrew Handsaker, Mia Shammah, Sophia Porter, Gavin Tackett and Yalissa Lowe.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
