Anita M. Anderson went to be with her Lord on September 28, 2018. She was born on January 2, 1931 to Paul and Ola Belle Sheaffer in Alvin, Texas. Anita spent her childhood in Alvin, where she met the love of her life, Robert M. Anderson and married him on September 6, 1948 in Alvin. They moved to Wharton, then Newgulf where they were both employed by Texas Gulf Sulfur Company. God blessed them with 3 sons. They both enjoyed working with Campers on Mission and the Baptist Encampment in Palacios. Anita’s hobbies included counted cross stitching, tending her beautiful daylilies and spreading God’s Word. She was currently member of Iago Federated Church. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark, husband, Robert, brother Bob Sheaffer, sister Mary Edith Forgy, and brother in law, Stanley Anderson. Anita was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Aunt and friend. She is survived by her 2 sons, Russell and wife, Brenda Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska and Roger and wife, Nancy Anderson of Iago, Texas, 6 grandchildren, Christie and Keith Hamilton, Courtney and Ryan Nelson, Jodi and Jacob Zahradnik, Jenni and Lupe Torres Jr., Joshua and Keslie Anderson, and Jessica and Chad Hartman. Anita had 14 great grandchildren that were the love of her life, Aiden, Reese, Canon, Colton, Jackson, Jill, Tristan, Korbyn, Caleb, Madison, Mason, Zoey, Harper and Maggie. She also leaves behind her sister in law, Lucy Anderson of Simpsonville South Carolina, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will begin on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:30 am at Iago Federated Church in Iago with Funeral services beginning at 11:30 am with Bros. Dan Fritch and Bob Hobbins officiating. Burial will follow in Liverpool Cemetery in Liverpool Texas. Special thanks to the staff of Houston Hospice and SPJST Nursing Home in Needville.
