Annie Orsak, 73, of Wharton, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born on November 22, 1944, in Wharton, Texas to the late Louis Stavena and Frances Dirba Stavena. Annie was raised in the Wharton area and graduated from Crescent High School. Annie was a homemaker and was known for making the “World’s Best Tea”. She loved her plants and flowers. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted woman whom would go out of her way to help other people. Lovingly remembered by her sons a spectacular mom who would often tell them, “I love you guys!”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Orsak. Annie is survived by her loving sons: Richard Bertrand of Jasper, TX and Jason Orsak of Wharton; sisters: Emma Mladenka, Agnes Kaska and Julie Satsky; brothers: Jerry Stavena and wife, Delores and Willie Stavena and wife, Diane. And numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018, starting at 9 a.m. p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Knippenberg officiating. Following the mass, the family invites you to Holy Family Life Center. The rite of committal and burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in El Campo at 1 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Joe Satsky, Louis Satsky, Nathan “Bubba” Satsky, John Satsky, Frank Satsky, Jerome Kaska and Tyler Kaska.
