Antonia "Tonie" Hobizal

In Loving Memory Of Antonia “Tonie” Hobizal April 28th, 1923 ~ October 20th, 2018   Antonia “Tonie” Hobizal passed into the arms of the Lord on October 20th, 2018 at Courtyard Nursing and Rehab in Victoria, Texas. She was born April 28th, 1923 in Frydek, Texas to Rudolph Zalesak and Julia Kutra Zalesak. Tonie was a longtime resident of Victoria, Texas and formerly a resident of Wharton, Texas.  She was a Member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society in Victoria.  She liked crocheting, baking, playing cards and painting ceramic wind chimes.  She loved to collect angels and grew her own tomatoes so that she could make green tomato pie.    She worked many years for HEB and even celebrated her 90th birthday at the HEB store in Victoria.  She considered herself to be an “HEB girl.”   She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Hobizal, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.   Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton TX on Friday, October the 26th, 2018 at 1:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated following the rosary.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.       Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
