Bobbie Jean Wisnieski
Bobbie Jean Wisnieski, 76, of Wharton, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. She was born on April 20, 1944 in Pima, Arizona to the late Robert Roy and Marjorie Brewer Wimberley.
Bobbie Jean was raised in the Globe Arizona area and she attended school there. She married Leo Frank Wisnieski, Sr. on September 9, 1960 in Globe Arizona. She worked as a Food Service Director for Wharton ISD for many years until her retirement in 2000. Bobbie Jean enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking outdoors camping, watching nature, especially small wild life and birds and going to baseball games. She was a CCD teacher at Holy Family for many years. Bobbie Jean was happiest when she was around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an Associate to the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Leo Frank Wisnieski, Jr.
Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo Frank Wisnieski, Sr., daughters, Roweena Britton and husband, Carl, and Jodi Le Mathis and husband, Michael of Wharton, and son, Darryle Wayne Wisnieski all of Wharton. Grandchildren, DeAnne Garcia, Kimberley Howell, Wade Mathis and Chelsi Mathis, great grandchildren Sabin Garza, Hayley Garcia, Zackary Howell, Andrew Howell, Austin Howell, and Mila Mathis and great great grandchildren, Hunter Garza and Paige Garza.
Visitation will begin after 5 pm Friday, May 1, 2020 with a rosary recited at 7 pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Fr. Bob Knippenberg celebrating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.Serving as pallbearers are Sabin Garza, Manuel Garcia, Zackary Howell, Andrew Howell, Adam Howell and Wade Mathis.
