Charles William Kemp, Jr. Charles Kemp, Jr., 49, of East Bernard, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on May 31, 1969, a son of Charles and Jeannie Holmes Kemp, Sr. Charles was born and raised in Pasadena Texas until the age of 15, when the family relocated to East Bernard where he graduated with the class of 1987. He later attended Wharton County Junior College, taking many computer courses that would help him in the future. Charles worked in the computer and electronics industry for many years, before changing careers into the HVAC industry. Charles was an artist from the word go, he loved to draw, produce music, and enjoyed woodworking. He loved every aspect of music, from playing his guitar, to singing and writing music. Charles would often invite friends and family to listen to his songs. Charles is survived by his parents, Charles and Jeannie Kemp, Sr. of East Bernard, sister, Melissa Kemp of East Bernard, brother, John Kemp of Houston, grandmother, Florence Holmes of East Bernard, Aunt Ann Kemp, of Pasadena and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 after 5pm at Wharton Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Father Mat Kessler celebrating the Mass. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in East Bernard. Pallbearers will be John Kemp, Matt Sheffer, Sam Winard, Charles Risinger, Kerry Marik and Thomas Hlavinka with Honorary Pallbearers Charles Kemp, Sr and Rodney Michalcik.
