Charles William Kemp, Sr.
Charles Kemp, Sr., 76, of East Bernard, Texas, passed away in a Houston hospital following a brief illness on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born in Pasadena to the late John William KempaJr. And Willodean Loyd Kemp.
Charles was raised in the Pasadena area and graduated from Pasadena High School. He later attended San Jacinto Junior College and studied engineering. He worked as a draftsman for many years. On September 2, 1966, he married Jeannie Holmes. Charles enjoyed family time, camping, floating the river, off roading in Colorado and watching Western movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles William Kemp, Jr. and sister, Marion Ann Kemp.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeannie Kemp of East Bernard, son, John William Kemp of East Bernard, daughter, Melissa Jean Kemp of Delray FL.
Services will be held on Friday, November 19 at Holy Cross Catholic Church starting with Rosary recited at 9 am, the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will begin at 10 am. Entombment will be in the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard. Visitation and lunch will be held at the American Legion Hall in East Bernard after the cemetery.
