David Wayne Dusak September 16th 1956 – October 4th 2023 David Wayne Dusak passed into the arms of the Lord peacefully on October 4th 2023 at his residence in Danevang, Texas. He was born September 16th 1956 in Wharton, Texas to the late Albert Dusak and Mildred Marling Dusak. David was a man of many skills. While he was a student at Wharton High School, and upon his graduation, he worked as a ranch hand for Thomas Abel and Dr. Frank Mann DVM. He honed his skills as a cowboy and gained experience in the field of bovine artificial insemination. It was during this time that the simmental breed was introduced and gaining popularity in Texas. When the South Texas Nuclear Plant Project construction began, David seized the opportunity for more gainful employment and was one of the first to be hired on. He would later move on to a career working out at Dow Chemical plant in Freeport, Texas where he retired in 2018 as a remediation technician. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Wharton Fire Department for over 15 years where he attained the rank of Captain. David had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, carpentry work, gardening, and spending time with his family. His meticulous gardening skills were awarded “Yard of the Month” by the Wharton Garden Club. David is survived by his daughter Heather Dusak Givens and her husband James Givens of Danevang, Sisters Deborah Goad of Wharton, Linda Marquardt of Illinois, Grandchildren David “Justin” Koudela, Dustie Skye Koudela, Taylor Raye Givens and great grandchildren Marley Rae Koudela, David “Wayne” Koudela, and Stoney Ray Koudela. It was David’s wishes that the family have a party to celebrate his life, which will be held October 23rd at Ride the Wind Stables from 11am-1pm located at 5530 Gerken Rd, Rosenberg, Texas 77471
