Dolores Castillo Herrera

Dolores Castillo Herrera, age 57, of Boling, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 in a Wharton hospital following a sudden illness.  He was born April 9, 1965 in Mante, Mexico to Isidoro and Maria Juliana Obegeron Herrera.

Dolores was a raised in Mexico and attended school there. He married Graciella Guerrero on February 14, 1987 in Mexico. Dolores enjoyed working with the cows on the ranch, riding horses to check the cattle, and riding his tractor. His most precious time was spent with his grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by his wife, Graciella Guerrero Herrera, children, Cecilia Herrera and husband, David Calderon of Bay City, Luis Herrera and wife, Celeste Ramos of Winnie and Leonardo Herrera and wife, Vanessa Palacious of Winnie, parents, Isidoro and Maria Herrera of Mexico, siblings, Julia Herrera, Bernardo, Isidoro, Fernando, Anjel, Geraldo, and Carlos Herrera, and his grandchildren, Paola Herrera, Jacquelin Herrera, Luis Herrera, Jr., Abraham Herrera, Karen Flores, Stephanie Herrera, Angeline Herrera, Tatiana Herrera and Addilyn Calderon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 after 5pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton with Fr. Antonio Perez. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
