Donna  (Shellye)  Rochelle Frizzell of Hungerford, Texas passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on December 3, 1950, in Garden City, Kansas.

Shellye is survived by her children, Jason Owston and Stacey of Kempner, TX and Jennifer Fojtik and Jerry of Hungerford, TX; brother, Tracy Johnson and wife Ann Marie of Cedar Park, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson and husband Jonathan, Nathan Owston, and Haley Fojtik; great grandchildren, Everly and Blaire Wilson; nephew, Derek Johnson and wife Jennifer, and nieces, Alex and Kayt-Lyn Johnson; and great niece and nephew, Emmy and Elliott Johnson. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Carole Johnson and granddaughter Aubrie Owston. 

Shellye was an optician early in her career followed by working for various manufacturing companies. Her true skill was making everything beautiful with her talented hands including her sophisticated arts and crafts (wood working, mosaic art and jewelry making to name a few), her home, plants, and flowers. 

Shellye loved and thought the world of her family. She would enjoy cooking them a well-planned meal that was always served hot with perfection. She also held a special place in her heart for all animals. She adored her toy poodle, Julie and her late parakeet, Phoebe. She enjoyed watching “good movies, scary movies”, CNN, nature and cooking shows. 

Funeral services will be held at Wharton Funeral Home with Father Charles Dwomoh officiating on December 28, 2024 at 5:30pm. She will later be laid to rest at Garden Valley Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
