Donna Marie Donofrio Tiemann, 63, of Beasley, TX, passed away on Monday , November 25, 2019, at home surrounded by her loved ones following a fierce battle with ALS. Donna was born on June 6, 1956 in New Rochelle, NY to Anastasia Mormino and the late Charles Donofrio. Donna was raised in New Rochelle, NY and graduated from New Rochelle High School. Donna then joined the United States Air Force and served in a flight security test program for women. She was an excellent shot and had marksman medals to prove it. She later left the military and worked in Human Resources for the rest of her professional career. Family was her priority! She devoted her life to raising her children and helping others get on their feet. She firmly believed in giving people a chance to prove themselves. Her grandchildren were the light of her life! She loved to mow and do yard work and take care of her plants. Her happiest moments were outside, taking care of her plants and being active with her grandkids. She loved to watch the hummingbirds and had feeders on both the front and back porches. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Charles Donofrio. Donna is survived by her husband, Jimmy Tiemann, of Beasley, TX, children Jenny and Kurt Rodgers of Eagle Lake, TX and Chris and Erika Wright Of Needville, TX, grandchildren, Reyna, Ty, Reanne, Cecilia, and Harper, mother, Anastasia Mormino, siblings, Mark Donofrio, Denise Donofrio, and Charlie Donofrio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and other loved ones. The family would like to thank Denise, Faith, Sam, Tracy, Birdy, Betty and Valentina for their excellent care in the last months of Donna’s life.
