 Doug Hancock, 25, of East Bernard, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, near Madisonville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on January 5, 1999, in Wharton to Douglas Wade Hancock, Sr and Carla Rucker.

 Doug was born and raised in East Bernard, TX, where he attended East Bernard High School. He worked overhead cranes in the Bryan College Station area for several years. He had a passion for tinkering with things, taking them apart to see how they ran. He also loved being outdoors and working on older cars and trucks.

 Doug is survived by his parents, Doug Wade Hancock, Sr and wife, Dawn, mother, Carla Rucker, grandparents, Lillian Hancock, Carolyn Rucker and Ken and Linda Chaffee, sisters, Eloiza Sanchez and Libby Hancock, brother, Dante Hancock, girlfriend, Ashlee Brown and aunts and uncles, Trey and Michelle Hancock and Sheryl and Mike Meadows.

 Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 6 till 8 pm at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 10 am at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
