Elias Flores

Elias Flores passed into the arms of the lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in a Richmond hospital just one day shy of his 90th birthday. He was born on January 19, 1933, to the Late Delores Stevens and Manuel Flores in Charlotte, TX.
Elias was a lifelong resident of the Wharton area and spent many years working for the county as a heavy equipment operator. Elias married the love of his life, Epolite on September 29, 1968, in Wharton, TX and they remained married for 54 years. He is fondly remembered by his family as loving to tend to his garden where many tomatoes were grown, enjoying Houston Wrestling, for being a strong supporter of the Republican party and most of all for him being devout to his Christian faith and reading his bible.
Elias has survived by and dearly missed miss by his wife Epolita (Altamira) Flores, his children Elias Flores, Jr. and his wife Ruby of Wharton, Paul Flores of Huntsville and Naomi Flores of Angleton. He is also survived by his sister Raquel Flores of Pledger and his grandchildren Aaron, Haley, Joshua, and Corrina. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jose Flores.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday January 23rd from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home 515 E. Boling Hwy. Funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
