Eloisa Martinez
Eloisa Martinez, 78, of Wharton passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in a Sugar Land hospital. She was born on August 8, 1945, in Ganado, to the late Julian and Delfina Gonzalez Rodriquez.
Eloisa was raised in the Ganado area. She married Eulalio Martinez, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2008. Eloisa was a stay at home mom to her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed playing Bingo, raising chickens and ducks, watching wrestling on tv, gardening and game shows. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dolly Gonzalez, and brothers, Vincent Rodriquez and Ricardo Rodriquez.
Eloisa is survived by her daughters, Eva Martinez and Rene Gaona of Wharton, Sylvia Ducros and husband, Joe Herrera of Weatherford, Alexander Martinez and wife, Josie of Wharton, and Eulalio Martinez, Jr. and wife, Marla of Wharton, sisters, Eva Aguirre and Estella Martinez and husband, Natividad, brother Augustin Rodriquez, grandchildren, Gregory David Trahan, II, Diamond Jewel Ducros, Saphire Gem Ducros, and Joe Ramirez, Sr, Mathew Belasquez, Marley Belasquez, great grandchildren, Addison Jensen Mendoza, Giana Snow Moreno, Violet Lin Moreno, Mylee Jade Gaona, Joe Ramirez, Jr., Seth Ramirez, Noah Ramirez, and one on the way.
Visitation for Eloisa Martinez will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024after 5 pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with the Celebration of her life held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Grace Community Fellowship Church in Wharton at 3pm. Burial will follow in Glen Flora Cemetery in Crescent.
