Roy Wagoner, 86, of Wharton, TX was called home to our Lord on September 9, 2018. He was born on March 17, 1932, in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Iris Maddox Wagoner. Roy was raised in Texarkana and graduated from Texarkana High School. He served in the United States Navy, receiving his honorable Discharge in 1954. On March 5, 1965 he married Mary Warhol in Houston. Roy worked for Alcoa in point Comfort for many years before he retired. Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting, mowing his yard, and visiting with his Navy buddies. Roy enjoyed travel, and visited many different locals, including, Australia, the Holy Land, and Fiji Island. He and Mary also visited most of the states of the United States. In addition to his parents, Roy ids preceded in death by his sons, Floyd Warhol and Jimmie Sutton, and his sister, Betty Ballard. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wagoner of Wharton, daughters, Debra Sutton Petrash and husband, David , Donna Wagoner and Kathy White, grandchildren, Tammy Cobb, Mark Warhol, wife and son and Nick Petrash and great grandchild, Caylee Cobb and numerous friends. Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Wishert officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, with members of the Wharton American Legion Post 87 and VFW Post 4474 performing Military Honors.
