Evelyn Kubicek

Evelyn Sulak Kubicek, 91, passed away in a Sugar Land hospital on August 14, 2018. She was born on April 2, 1927 to P.R. Sulak and Pauline Sulak of Tavener. She is preceded in death by her siblings – brothers, Eugene Sulak and Marvin Sulak and sister, Isabel Sulak Kutach and great grandson, Hayden Beeson. On April 22, 1947, Evelyn married Bennie Robert Kubicek of Moulton and they made their life in East Bernard, Texas. Bennie worked for Lily Bottling company there and soon it was purchased by Bennie and Evelyn and became East Bernard Beverages. Bennie bottled and distributed soft drinks while Evelyn worked as the bookkeeper. Evelyn had two sons, Kenneth and Gary Kubicek, both of East Bernard. Evelyn belonged to Holy Cross Catholic Church. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bennie Robert Kubicek, as well as her sons and their families- Kenneth and Cindy Kubicek, grandchildren – Justin and Kelly Kubicek and Kaylan and Joh Kopycinski – great grandchildren – Carson and Carly Kubicek and Hays and Ridge Kopycinski, Gary Kubicek, grandchildren – Lacey and John Beeson Myles and Emily Kubicek and Kole Kubicek – great grandchildren- Luke Beeson and Grayson, Easton, and new Baby Boy Kubicek due in November. Following cremation, visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard starting at 9 am with a Memorial Mass starting at 10 am, with Father Matt Kessler celebrating. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Kubicek, John Kopycinski, John Beeson, Myles Kubicek and Kole Kubicek.
