Felipa Gutierrez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Felipa Gutierrez a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted homemaker, who entered eternal rest on February 22, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on May 1, 1930, in McAllen, Texas to the late Fidel Torres and Santos Hinojosa Torres.

Felipa dedicated her life to nurturing her family. As a housewife, she poured her heart into caring for her husband and children, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter and cherished memories. She was the cornerstone of her family—her children, Elizabeth Jaquez, Val Gutierrez, and Diana Gutierrez, will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Gutierrez, son, Noe Gutierrez and siblings: Antonio Jalifi, Micaela Jalifi Saenz, Aurora Jalifi Garza, Alfredo Jalifi, Jesus Teofilo Torres, and Rosa Torres Hoffman.

Felipa is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Rodriguez Jaquez and Diana Gutierrez; son Val Gutierrez and wife, Rosa Gutierrez; grandchildren Monica Acosta and husband, William, Ursula Silva and husband, Christopher, Jennifer Courville and husband, Kelly, Ashley Rodriguez and husband Joe, J. R. Gutierrez and Spencer Gutierrez; great grandchildren, Travis Ray Acosta, Charles Anthony Acosta, William Preston Acosta, Nathan Silva, Kendall Silva, Katelyn Silva, and Elias Mikko Rodriguez. Along with nieces and nephews and close family friends.

A Graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tony Wishert officiating at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Tx.

Felipa Gutierrez will be laid to rest in a final act of love, surrounded by her family. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who knew her.
