Frank Carlisle Reynolds, Jr., age 78, of Wharton passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018 in a Houston hospital following a brief illness. He was born August 19, 1939 to the late Frank C. and Laura Mae Reynolds. Frank was raised in the Houston area and graduated from Sam Houston High School. He later attended Sam Houston University. Frank honorably served in the United States Army. On November 5, 1983, he married Mona Kemp Henson in Wharton. Following a career at Hudson Products, where he was a shop foreman, Frank retired after over 30 years of service. Always an active person, Frank enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and in his younger days, saddle bronc riding in rodeos. He was Catholic by faith. Frank is survived by his wife, Mona Reynolds of Wharton, daughter, Rhonda Gordon and husband Sam of Tomball, TX; son, Frank C. Reynolds, III, “Stoney” of Cypress, TX; step children, Marsha Henson Kelly of Austin, TX and Randy Henson and wife, Pam of Spring, TX, grandchildren, Johnna Davidson, Dusty Reynolds, Rebecca Brooks and husband, Justin, Colton Gordon, Jon Henson and Erik Henson and wife, Patti; and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10 am at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon David Valdez officiating. Military Honors were performed by members of American Legion Post 87 and VFW post 4474 both of Wharton. Funeral Services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
