George Joseph Jalowy George Joseph Jalowy, 87, of El Campo and formerly of East Bernard, passed away Sunday morning, November 25, 2018 at a Houston hospice center, following complications from an accident. He was born on May 14, 1931 in East Bernard, Texas, a son of the late Ladislav and Annie Gallia Jalowy. George graduated from East Bernard High School. He later served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for many years at Texas Utility Company. In his later years, George married Dorothy Atchetee from El Campo. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of St Phillip Catholic Church in El Campo. He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the KJT Society. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Atchetee of El Campo; daughter, Cindy Haynes of Pasadena; son, Greg Jalowy and wife, Candee, of Pasadena; brother, Dr. James Jalowy and wife, Henriette, of East Bernard; sister, Irene Moore of Huntsville; grandchildren, Sara Jalowy, Brandy Wilson and Myranda Haynes; great grandchildren, Tatum, Kennedy and Deacon Wilson, Gunner Haynes; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Following cremation, funeral services will be Tuesday, December 4th, in Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Visitation will begin at 12 noon, rosary at 1:30 pm., and Mass at 2 pm. Rev. Mat Kessler will be the officiant. Entombment will be in the Guardian Angel Catholic Mausoleum in Wallis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
