Gertrude Ellen Priddy

Gertrude Ellen Salsbury Priddy, 88, of Wharton, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at a Richmond hospital following a lengthy illness.  She was born on September 29, 1930 in Westphalia, Kansas to the late Herbert Morris and Lena Eaton Salsbury.

Ellen was raised in the Wichita area and graduated from Wichita High School North in Wichita, Kansas. She married Bob L Priddy in Carthage, MO on March 1, 1952. She enjoyed being active, water skiing, designing and building houses, making her own greeting cards, camping and making the family calendar every year. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, June Marie Stegink.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bob Priddy of Wharton, son Roger Lee Priddy and wife, Brenda of Wharton, daughter Renee Elaine Roberson and husband, Ray of Wharton, and son Morris Allen Priddy and wife, Lorie of Houston, grandchildren, Michael Ray Roberson, Joseph Ryan Roberson, Jacob Daniel Roberson, Joshua Morris Priddy, Morris Abraham Priddy, and Isaac Morris Priddy, and great-grandchildren, Karis, Judah, Joy and Elliot Roberson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm. Funeral services will begin at 2pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Wharton Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
