Guadalupe Perales, 73 of Wharton passed away on Saturday evening in a Houston Hospital on September 1, 2018. She was born on December 29, 1944 in Wharton to the late Matias Perales and Lenora DeLaCruz Perales. Guadalupe was raised in the Wharton area and attended schools in Crescent. Guadalupe loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She especially cherished her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and listening to Tejano music. She loved to play Bingo and travel. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Lupita Perales, son: Joe Perales; sisters: Juanita Perales and Benita Perales and brother: Antonio Perales. She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Perales of Lubbock and Janie Perales Cruz and husband, Richardo of Sealy; son: Robert Perales and wife, Joanna of Wharton; sisters: Teresa Ramirez and husband, Raymond, Mary Hermosillo, Lucy Perkins and husband, Delbert, Lenora Melchor, Manuela Jones and Rosie Garcia and husband, Lupe; brother: Johnny Perales, grandchildren: Robert Rosniak, Alex Perales, Byran Perales, Tyler Perales, Ciara Perales, Crystal Hodges, Evon Garcia and Alberto Garcia; great grandchildren: Carlos DeLaCerda, Angel DeLaCerda, Angelina DeLaCerda, Jason Hodges, Jayden Garcia, Cruzito Garcia, Deliza Garcia, Nicholas Garcia, Izayah Garcia, Nellie Garcia and Zartiyan Garcia. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 starting at 5 p.m at Wharton Funeral Home. A rosary recited at 7 p.m by Deacon David Valdez at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Father Antonio Perez officiating. The rite of committal and burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
