Guadalupe Ramos

Guadalupe Ramos, age 83, of Wharton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 in a Wharton hospital following a brief illness.  She was born June 6, 1939 in Wharton to the late Toribio and Rite Rodriguez Gaona.

Lupe was a raised in the Wharton area and attended Wharton schools. She later attended Wharton County Junior College. Lupe married David Ramos on May 28, 1988. She enjoyed playing slot machines, dancing, knitting, her plants and flowers, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Canales.

Lupe is survived by her husband, David, of Wharton, sons, Marin Canales of Wharton and Adan Canales and wife, Norma of Wharton, grandchildren, Jamie Fiala, Allyson Canales and Courtney Canales, great grandchildren, Madison Canales, Jaxon Canales, Carly Horta, Jaycie Fiala and Robert Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 after 5pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton with Fr. Antonio Perez. Burial will be in Wharton Cemetery in Wharton.
