Helen Marie McMicken

Helen Marie McMicken, age 81, a longtime resident of Wharton, and short time in Freeport Tx. went to be with her Lord on June 28^th 2019.  She died in Freeport after a long term illness.   

             Helen was born in Flatonia, Tx., to Louis B. Pospisil and Sophie Hosak Pospisil on December 27, 1937. She married Robert C. McMicken Sr. in 1955 and they had four sons. She was a housewife, a dedicated member of First Baptist Church……

            She was proceeded in death by her sons Robert C. McMicken Jr. and Ronny Bill McMicken, her husband Robert C. McMicken Sr., her granddaughter Victoria Gray, and grandson Gabriel Brockmeyer.

            She is survived by her son Richard McMicken and wife Vickie Marie McMicken, and Rodney L. McMicken of Freeport, TX, daughter-in-law Janice Treybig McMicken of Wharton, TX.

  Her grandchildren Jarrett McMicken and wife Hillary McMicken of Wharton, Whitney McMicken of Phoenix, AZ, Ryan McMicken and wife LeeAnn McMicken of Colorado, Scotty Gray and wife Deanna of Crosby, TX, Kimberly Brockmeyer and husband Andy Brockmeyer of New Ulm, TX, and Hannah McMicken of Freeport, TX.

            Her great grandchildren Jase McMicken of Wharton, TX, Alyssa Gray of Crosby, TX, Ashlyn Waldrop and husband James Waldrop of Brazoria, TX. Many nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Helen will be remembered for her love for her family, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  The many donations she has given to various charities.

            Visitation will be on Wednesday July 3rd, 2019 from 9:30am with a funeral service at 10:30am at Wharton Funeral home.
